The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge touched down in Dublin today for their three-day tour of Ireland, marking their first official visit to the country. For day one, Kate Middleton clearly decided to embrace the hue most strongly associated with the Emerald Isle—green. She deplaned wearing a double-breasted forest green Catherine Walker coat, with a floral skirt in another shade of green peeking out from underneath.

The printed green top and skirt Middleton chose for the occasion is by London-based designer Alessandra Rich, whose designs Middleton has worn frequently in the past. A bright green L.K. Bennett clutch and Emmy London pumps completed the look, while Prince William offer his own nod to Ireland in the form of a dark green polka-dotted tie.

The Duke and Duchess started their day with a visit to Aras an Uachtarain, the official residence of the President of Ireland, for tea with President Michael D Higgins and his wife, Sabina Mary Higgins. They then headed for a wreath-laying ceremony at the Garden of Remembrance, which, according to @KensingtonRoyal, is “a place of reflection dedicated to those who gave their lives for Irish independence.” They ended the afternoon with a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ireland, Leo Varadkar, and his partner, Matthew Barrett.
