I know the pain of being in a marriage where daily I feared how my husband would react. I was threatened, disrespected, manipulated, intimidated and physically threatened and abused. He lied, cheated and made mine and our children’s lives hell. I’m so grateful that I was able to leave and start over. Aguila no caza mosca Love does not hurt! Sometimes we have to see this and reminded each day that we need to leave but sometimes we can’t even cry out for help. Sometimes it’s literally fear death if you leave. I wish people understood this more.

I think your amazing and thank u for bringing this subject up. It’s very close to my heart. My mum was in a violent relationship 40 odd years ago and we as children suffered at his hands also and still bear the mental scars.had to watch without sound. It’s so true I myself feel so broken down inside and every time I try to get out I get controlled and manipulated back into it As a survivor of physical and mental abuse at the hands of a woman, it would be nice to show both sides. Most men DON’T defend themselves for fear of being labeled the aggressor and subjected to arrest when the police show up. And society won’t let men ask for help without labeling them as weak. Bringing all sides of physical and mental abuse to light is the only way to cut it out of our cultures. Keep up the good fight
