Black History Africa Country Hawaiian Shirt .This awesome t-shirt commemorates the 1989 World Series, also known as the Battle of the Bay. The Oakland Athletics and the San Francisco Giants crossed the San Fran Bay to face off against each other in their first World Series meeting in over 75 years. The series is also sometimes referred to as the Earthquake Series, after Game 3 was postponed due to a 6.9 magnitude earthquake. The Athletics ended up sweeping the Giants in the first World Series sweep since 1976. This vintage t-shirt pays homage to the Saudi Arabian Navy and the King Abdulaziz Naval Base. The Naval Base is located right outside of the city of Jubail and on the shores of the Persian Gulf. It’s the base for the Navy’s Eastern Fleet, which is responsible for activities in the Gulf, as well as the Royal Navy Academy. The base is named for the first king of Saudi Arabia, who’s known in the West as Ibn Saud.
