Tonight as I waited for the last actor to be picked up, I happened to see Mr. James and one of his children walking toward the door by the theatre and the Charlie Brown Snoopy If I Can’t Bring My Dog I’m Not Going Shirt. I hadn’t met his daughter before, but she said a shy hello. I asked if they wanted to come in and see the set. Mr. James informed me that they were actually a week early to see our opening night. He was on the lookout for his spouse and his son, but his daughter followed me into the theatre.

Mr. James was keeping his eyes peeled for the rest of his family and trying to make sure all was well in the theatre. She squealed and went running to the school door.

He had his stuffed Charlie toy and a striped shirt that could fit right into the cast. Of course they had to go into the dog house, try out the couch, and even dance on the piano again. After all, little sister had to show her brother everything! They were pretty excited that they got to see all of the backstage before anyone else who is going to see the play next week. I hope it made up for our opening night being one week away.
