London Fashion Week designer Roksanda is collaborating with supermarket clothing brand George at Asda as part of LFW’s continued 40th-anniversary celebrations.The collaborative collection will offer Roksanda’s signature style to an accessible audience while raising funds for the BFC Foundation programme, a charity supporting the future growth and success of the British fashion industry with a focus on education, grant-giving, and business mentoring.George at Asda states its donation to the BFC Foundation is part of its ongoing commitment to British Fashion. The amount of the donation has not been disclosed.Commenting on the collaboration, Roksanda said in a statement: ‘‘As an alumnus of the BFC NewGen, this collaboration has allowed me to give back to the community, which helped start my creative career. Incredibly fortunate to be a previous winner, I understand the importance of support and how without it, brands might not be able to grow and develop to their full potential.“In celebration of London Fashion Week’s 40th anniversary, I am delighted to collaborate with George and the British Fashion Council on a collection that not only honours but also spotlights the extraordinary work of NewGen. Together, we aim to generate funds that will inspire and empower the next wave of innovative designers, ensuring their voices are heard and celebrated beyond the fashion landscape.”The 30-piece collection, launching on September 17, showcases Roksanda’s signature use of colour, femininity and sculptural shapes. This shirt is very comfortable, light, and moisture wicking as advertised. It also fits as expected — sometimes. I bought five of these in all different colors. They all arrived in the same box but individually sealed in plastic. The ones that fit as expected were labeled medium and are made in Jordan. The plastic they were wrapped in had the under armour logo on it. The ones that didn’t look to have been resealed in unmarked plastic and while they too are labeled medium they say they are made in Mexico. The shirts labeled as from Mexico are a good 1-2 inches shorter in length and seem to be more fitted in cut than the Jordan shirts, which have a nice loose cut without being sloppy. The seller should really advertise this difference on each shirt color as it applies since there seems to be two very different fits with no distinction in the name. Would have given a five star review if not for this issue and will not purchase again until fit is less of a crapshoot.

Purchased August 2020, ‘heavy cotton’ 100% cotton, color ordered and received is pure white, made in Nicaragua, with no odor when new. Fabric is thick enough to be opaque and not so small to be form fitting (I am pretty wide), suitable for wear as a shirt as well as an undergarment. My XL was really an XL-long which means it has a long trunk section that will not come un-tucked (plumbers crack for instance) but not so long it looks odd if you wear it un-tucked. Double stitching at seams with an arm length slightly above the elbow. This is ideal for applying company logos, or tie dye. Perfect for a full figured male (or female) or a thin person who doesn’t want a clingy fit. Completely satisfied.
