I Don’t Always Show My Feelings But When I Do It Looks Like This Shirt! Can we chat about ethical fashion for bit? At 44 years old I am for the first time dipping my toes into the art of style, (specifically looking at developing a fun and colorful capsule wardrobe) and feeling a bit overwhelmed. I Don’t Always Show My Feelings But When I Do It Looks Like This Shirt! There seems to be so many serious issues in the fashion industry-from the slave labor that churns out cheap almost disposable clothing, to tremendous amounts of waste and pollution, to disrupting the fabric/clothing industries in developing countries with “donations” of cheap cast off clothing.

How does one go about buying clothing responsibly short of buying most things from second hand stores (which seems to be the solution I am mostly hearing about)? I don’t have anything against second hand stores, however due to living in a rural area, getting to a thrift store takes extra driving and time and they always end up having limited options anyway. I Don’t Always Show My Feelings But When I Do It Looks Like This Shirt! Not to mention that I also generally loathe going into any store and hopelessly trying on clothes. Being short and curvy, it is difficult to find off the rack clothing that fits me correctly.
