I have come to realize that Show Me Your Kitties shirt .the ignorance or hatred of others should not dictate my actions, behavior, ambitions and goals. I accept that I cannot change the negative feelings that others may have about me or my religion, and I do not think I have to perform in order to assuage the presumed anxieties of those around me. Because being me, is all I need to be.Whenever I see a woman in a h I go out of my way to be extra friendly and smiley so she’ll know I’m not some horrible Islamaphobe/xenophobe/anything-else-aphobe of I feel a bit less silly knowing women are doing the same on the other side of the would-be divide. Here’s hoping that one day common sense will prevail and we’ll be able to leave the ambassadors to representing their people.
