Sportswear giant Puma has significantly expanded its textile-to-textile recycling initiative, Re:Fibre, in a move that could reshape the sportswear industry’s approach to sustainability. From the 2024/25 season, millions of football replica jerseys, including those for major tournaments like Euro and Copa América, will be produced using a minimum of 75 percent recycled textile and other waste materials.This ambitious scaling up follows a successful pilot in 2023, which saw 46,000 jerseys produced using the Re:Firbre technology. Shirt is from the Dominican Republic. Words are printed on heavy cotton which is thick and not something I would wear in warm weather. Words or colour did not come off after one wash in the machine together with other clothes.

Bought for Father’s Day for hubby. Ordered the 2XL. The tag on short said XXL which is not the same thing. It was tight. Nice fabric though. Short fits at the waist and raises above when raising arms.

Really nice fabric, comfy… but I gave it to my son because – as he said – he’s “willing to blind everyone”. The color’s a LOT brighter than shows in the photo. Brighter than a traffic cone. Other than that, it’s a good quality fabric, nice and light for summer. It’ll hold its color forever (I don’t expect it to fade much at all), and it comes out of the laundry looking brand new every time… Well okay we haven’t had it for very long, but you can tell by the feel that it’s going to stay nice looking for a long time.
