The illustrations in this presentation offend me. (this or this). To often a brand or method of behaviour masks coercive control in many relationships. Passive aggression comes to mind, Incivility is prevalent in a great many institutions. What is not so prevalent are those that stand up to it. When considering quality of life, (self preservation society), civility goes out the door.I really appreciate this Ted talks. I try to carry myself in a very positive way but there are times I observe that type of situation or passive aggressiveness, and I wonder how does this persist? I have been saying for years that the key to success of any organization is morale. Of course, after being passed up for promotion, I eventually blew my back out, and I have been unemployed for over five years.

My dad ia considered incivilized if I were to believe what you are saying but, because of it, I have learned so much to fight, to matter and to not let those affect me but, treat it as a challenge, so does, my friends i grew up with and my kids, now my son is in the Airforce because of what you call inicivilian. So, yeah. Too much brainwashing.I attended so many and yup would often get reminded about my phone. Look peeps. I can still hear you!!! I can still interact. I can still discuss company needs. Also, mostly I am thinking about what I want for dinner. I was having an opinion. The collaborative “we” in most companies are in fact very I. So please take your inspiring lecture to another, who might care. Ijs.
