It was a Saturday and I was the kitchen with three dogs and a cat hanging out with me I heart realism shirt . My kitchen is a long skinny galley kitchen so it was crowded. Tomcat came in from the front crying. I turned around and she dropped a live large rat at my feet. Immediately every animal charged at the large rat. Luckily, I had a broom in my hand so I guided the rat on the floor from my refrigerator to the stove to the end of the counter, down the hallway, past the pantry, the coat closet, the window seat and out the front door that Tomcat had left open. The dogs and cats were trying to get the terrified rat the whole way. I slammed the door shut and bolted it.
