My transition was hard, I went back to my small town and no one could relate to my level of discipline, and commitment. It cost me a lot. Friends, relationships. Still finding my way in life as in a career, hopefully in a few years my masters will be done and I’ll be where I want to be in life. The reason I ask is I’m working to gain my social work masters to help the brothers and sisters that are family above blood. Nothing says you ever have to give up being a Ranger. You just have to use that drive in a different way. Never give up. Keep pushing the message. I know how u felt brother. It seems like this happens to all of us word for word. Varying intensity between individuals. I want you to know you need anything at all out here I got your back. Julie Emm and many others, we should never forget the politicians who send ordinary men and women to fight and kill each other. In many people, there is a little ember in the forest. If the wind blows upon it, the whole forest burns. Nationalism, religion, and race are the primary tools of such politicians to blow upon the embers. Each individual needs to be responsible in recognising this, steeling themselves against such politicians, never forgetting what has happened in the Stand For The Anthem Honor The Veteran Shirt and how it came to be.
